Spiritual Grounding

Is there more to grounding than mind/body healing?

Humans are bioelectrical beings that carry a positive charge, which can build up in our bodies. Earth has a negative charge. When we make contact through grounding, we discharge our excess energy, producing a healing effect at the cellular level.

Further studies into the impact of grounding show evidence of reduced inflammation, reduced cortisol, increased energy, increased healing speed, decreased pain, and restored balance in the body.Also, there is growing evidence that grounding may improve symptoms of:

  • chronic fatigue
  • anxiety and depression
  • sleep disorders
  • chronic pain
  • cardiovascular health

These are all common symptoms of stress, inflammation and low vitality. Perhaps the most common form of grounding is ‘Earthing’ – direct contact with the Earth through the soles of our feet.

As our mind/body/energy/spirit system is a beautiful complex interconnected system, the benefits of grounding can be understood spiritually as well as physically, mentally and emotionally. 

Did you know that there are energetic mechanisms within our systems that help us ground beyond direct contact with the Earth and nature? And that they can be accessed through the base chakra, meditations, mudras and mantras? By intentionally working with the element of Earth through spiritual grounding, we can establish some remarkable dynamics in our lives.

Here are seven essential and wonderful effects of Spiritual Grounding:

  1. Assimilation, integration and embodiment
  2. Present awareness
  3. Traction with endeavours
  4. Alignment with cycles & seasons
  5. A deeper understanding of the energy circuits of our energy bodies
  6. Greater awareness of home space
  7. Clarity and strength to manage boundaries
