Karin Esmaeili is a registered and certified Swedish Midwife, Emergency and Trauma Nurse as well as a registered Art Therapist with the Singapore and Swedish Art Therapy Association with Degrees from Lund University, Sweden and LaSalle College of the Arts, University of London.
Karin is passionate about female health and trained to work with reproductive, perinatal as well as sexual health. Upon moving to Singapore Karin expanded her work scope attaining a degree in Art therapy to integrate and balance female healthcare and psychology to promote an ethical and holistic approach to women’s wellbeing and emotional wellness.
She has experience from various settings within emergency and trauma care, pregnancy and delivery specialist care, midwifery led delivery care units, pre- and postnatal as well as breastfeeding care, female health check-ups, family and couples counselling, family planning and sexual education, women shelters, refuge-camps and adolescent psychiatrics.
Foremost Karin identifies as a woman of mature age trying to navigate the wild waters of perimenopause and change. Finding many women searching for an understanding of their personal sexual health and general wellbeing during this time of transition she wants to start an open, supportive and non-judgmental discussion with the fundamental respect to everyone’s personal journey.
